The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are a great option for those looking to take mopping off their to-do list. Some have great mapping and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot cleaner vacuum that also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other models and makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt as well as pet hair and poop easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger debris like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and works well however it's something you'll need to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device has an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively fast.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach an array of surface areas. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other difficult-to-access spots. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor near to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction strength and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it must make, which will affect the speed at which the device can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rugs.

The device is costly, but has many smart features. It's important to note that it incurs regular expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and mop pads must be replaced every one to three month.

The robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes a wide range of physical automation features. The vacuum mop cleaner robot also has an power button that doubles as a 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home button to send it back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuums that mop vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module that has a microfiber pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping however it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up pet hair. It was able capture many of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots have struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few nice jingles that indicated when it was beginning or completing its task.

The app was too simple and you had to switch the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which could be a hassle if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuums uk vacuum that mops in our test, but it has some unique features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task or recall the robot or start the dock's auto vacuum and mop-emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it gets entangled in a hazard, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert in its app.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

It's a major departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
